The Contract Administrator will be responsible to facilitate and manage the contract process between the business teams tracking agreement terms, rights and obligations to ensure complete performance by the company.

  • Verifying details of deals negotiated by business teams as entered into the Rights Logic rights management system – the type of deals include TV & Video, Live Events, Consumer Products & Publishing
  • Resolving conflict checks for deals to ensure rights are available and not already locked up under any existing exclusive agreements.
  • Verifying details of contract amendments negotiated by business teams as entered into the Rights Logic rights management system – the type of deals include TV, Video, Live Events, Consumer Products and Publishing
  • Entering data into tracking sheets set up to monitor process flow of the contract administration process
  • Finalizing executed contracts and executed contract amendments in the Rights Logic system – this entails reviewing the details on the Rights Logic system against copies of the fully executed contracts and ensuring all details match
  • Responding to queries from business, finance and legal teams
  • Completing any filing and transmission of documents that may be required relating to the finalization of contracts
  • Attending inter-departmental tracking meetings set up to facilitate the contract administration process as and when required
  • Searching and copying of contracts from the DMS system
  • Updating and generating tracking sheets for discussion in tracking meetings with the business teams
  • Entering content sales deals negotiated by China office
  • Liaising with finance to resolve month-end revenue recognition issues

  • Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferable
  • Minimum 2-3 Years contract administration experience

  • Rights management system experience;
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to use initiative and be pro-active
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of the licensing arena and of the importance of rights management
  • Finance: understanding of financial concepts as they relate to license agreements – royalties, advances, guarantees, invoicing
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
