The Team:
North American Division (NAD) Accounting team is responsible for providing timely relevant financial information for North American Companies (revenues $2 billion) to the different business units at Mattel. The range of activities include month end close, SOX controls, transition analysis, new financial system implementation, process streamline, financial statements research and report preparation.

The Opportunity:

Mattel is currently seeking a Financial Analyst. This role will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for the North America Financial statements. The Financial Analyst will be involved in month end activities, SOX controls and report preparation. The position will be using Oracle Business Suite, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Planning Tool (HPT), and Cognos.

What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Month-end close activities in Oracle and HFM System
  • Prepare Monthly reports
  • Organize Monthly Balance Sheet Review
  • Research transactions

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years relevant experience in a finance, accounting, or auditing
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Strong documentation skills with attention to detail a must
  • Self-starter with problem solver skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Public or private audit and/or consulting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle a plus
