The Opportunity:

Mattel APAC regional marketing team is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, this person will drive the development and execution of regional digital & e-commerce strategy & initiatives for Mattel’s Asia Pacific Region across the portfolio of brands. This leader will be responsible for partnering with the global digital team and the local markets to ensure that digital platforms and initiatives (including but not limited to web, social, and mobile) are integrated from the very beginning of regional marketing plan development through execution.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Embed with the APAC regional marketing team as a core team member to develop digital strategies, tactics, and assets as integral elements of the overall brand strategy and regional and local marketing plans
  • Ensure global digital campaigns and initiatives align with regional and local initiatives and business needs
  • Manage and leverage internal functional specialists to own and develop strategies, tactics, platforms, and assets to be deployed across web, social, mobile, and in-store channels
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to maintain best practices, stay abreast of industry and regional/local trends
  • Define core business objectives and performance measurements that map to measurable business results
  • Analyze results to ensure that insights are integrated into current and future strategies
  • Assess existing e-commerce capabilities across Mattel emerging markets and develop a strategy and action plan to address opportunities/gaps and drive performance on third-party e-retail platforms


What We're Looking For:

  • 15 years of working experience with 8+ years in digital marketing/ e-commerce and commercial execution
  • Well-rounded digital marketing experience, with a track record in strategy development and team management
  • Strong understanding of the APAC digital landscape and platforms, media and ecommerce
  • Highly creative and collaborative leader who prides themselves on defining strategy and using data for decision making
  • Analytical acumen and test and learn mentality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead through influence
  • Fluency in English
