The Opportunity: 

The Associate Manager Distribution Services is responsible for providing operational leadership for a fast paced, high volume, multi-shift distribution center.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.

 

*Supervises, directs and guides day-to-day operations of the distribution center    including receiving, warehousing, shipping, promotional assembly, maintenance/facilities

*Maintain and analyze key metrics for distribution center

*Drive productivity initiatives and ensure productivity targets are achieved

*Ensure the distribution center delivers upon established goals

*Develop short-term and long-term labor needs based on sales and inventory forecast, industry influences, market conditions, and other key factors

*Analyze and propose solutions to operational obstacles (layout, space needs and utilization, equipment needs, capital expense projects, major process changes…)

*Works with direct reports to develop and implement plans that impact the distribution center

*Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures secure property by developing protection and access policies and procedures

*Collaborates with corporate partners and other Mattel DC’s to ensure internal and external compliance requirements are met

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITIES

·         May directly oversees exempt and /or non-exempt employee; indirectly oversees all employees related to Direct to Consumer


What We’re Looking For: 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

*BA/ BS preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field and Five or more years of experience in a distribution center operations leadership role

*5 or more year of experience in a distribution center operations leadership

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

*Able to forecast and planning, budget, develop workforce plans, develop and implement business plans and goals

*Able to collaborate with employees at all levels (supervisory staff, management, executive staff, corporate partners…)

*Skilled at creating and maintaining functional and cross-functional partnerships.

*Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

*Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem solving skills. Abe to analyses and interpret reports, graphs, and other data.

*Strong mathematic skills- ability to calculate figures such as percentages, volume, cost, time.

*Competent in MS Office Suites
