  • This position is responsible for working with Leadership to deliver technical, position-specific training for DC roles as well as provide bilingual support to Operations Leadership.

  • Provides premium customer experience, following the tenets of our Company service guide, by accurately picking, packing, and shipping product for our customers with a full understanding of our service commitment to them.  
  • Works on the warehouse floor in Production, Retail, Returns, Publication, and Material Handling areas as needed.
  • Uses company procedures and regulatory requirements to train warehouse employees on work procedures to support our value of customer focused work that is supported by Safety, Accuracy, Quality, Productivity, and a positive work environment.

Identifies and Supports the Creation of Functional/Technical Training Materials (20%):

  • Collaborates with Distribution leadership and HR to identify training needs and assists in the development of training resources.
  • Identifies opportunities where training can improve unsafe conditions/practices, improve efficiency and/or reduce errors and works with HR and/or leadership to develop training/resources.
  • Translates training and other learning materials into Spanish (verbal and/or written)

Delivers Training & Provides Technical Support/Coaching to Learners (60%):

  • Teaches a variety of training programs which includes the Distribution Center orientation, along with various training programs for each of the Operational work areas:  Production, Retail, Returns, Publication, and Material Handling.
  • Instructs employees in safe work habits and conduct in the distribution center environment. 
  • Shares observations and feedback about performance of employees during classroom training.
  • Works with the Supervisors, Leads and SSTs to assess the job skills of employees, recommend personnel moves where needed, and provide additional training as required. 
  • Provides feedback and documentation on seasonal training performance to Supervisors, as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs
  • Ability to multi-task to effectively manage the progression and ultimate completion of projects. 
  • Strong ability to interact well with employees and leadership. 
  • Strong presentation skills, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be able to create an inclusive and respectful work environment by working with and coaching individuals from many ethnic backgrounds and a wide range of ages.
  • Must be able to use information included in the training modules to provide consistent instruction to the work force. 
  • Must possess an ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to manage stress when uncomfortable situations develop.
  • This position is physically demanding and requires walking, standing, bending lifting, kneeling and pallet building. 
  • Persons in this position should be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occassionally. 
  • Many tasks associated with this position involve hand and arm manipulation, grasping, pushing, and pulling. 
  • Overtime is required at various times throughout the year. It is especially critical from October through December. Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and overtime as needed. 
  • Requests for vacation from October through December will require Managers approval. Incumbents will be required to work on some Company holidays and Bonus days to meet customer service requirements.
