The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Retail Development Coordinator to join our Consumer Products Retail Development team at our global headquarters in El Segundo, California. This role reports to the Manager/Senior Manager of Retail Development (US) and provides support across the broader Retail Development team. We operate in a fast-paced, data-driven, and creative environment and are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and can effectively manage multiple priorities.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Provide dedicated support to the Walmart Retail Development Lead, including coordinating cross-category pallet programs, developing category and buyer pitch materials, maintaining buyer contact lists, and creating visual placement reports for Consumer Products/licensed brands
  • Assist in managing and uploading products for the Mattel Merch on Demand (AMOD) program on Amazon
  • Support the successful sell-in of cross-category programs to drive growth of the Consumer Products business at retail
  • Maintain and update retail placement reporting, including consolidating online product IDs across key retail accounts to support brand page accuracy
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Franchise/Brand Marketing, Licensing, Retail Marketing, and Commercial teams across North America to support demand creation initiatives
  • Consolidate and share key category insights (e.g., VLAGGs) with buyers to support retail placement of licensed products
  • Develop customized pitch presentations for new retail program opportunities using global franchise materials
  • Partner with the Consumer Products team to compile and analyze retail sales data, including best-seller reporting
  • Coordinate and execute internal and external meetings and events, including Licensing Summits, retailer meetings, and industry trade shows
  • Prepare and deliver product and brand presentations, including assembling sell sheets and maintaining accurate buyer contact information
  • Lead and support special projects for the Retail Development team as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing, Entertainment, Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn while supporting day-to-day operations, including retail sell-in reporting, data entry, AMOD product listing uploads, and Retail Development activities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Solid planning and analytical capabilities
  • Action-oriented, motivated professional with strong business acumen
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and presentation development
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
