The Opportunity: 

Under direction from the DTC Planning and Control Manager, the Data Analyst is responsible for all ad hoc data reporting within the DTC organization.  Responsible for capturing and reporting all DTC operational metrics and KPI, the Data Analyst will interpret data trends and provide tactical insights to the Planning & Control Manager and leadership team to help improve customer service levels and operational efficiency.  The Data Analyst is responsible for overall DTC systems master data quality and will work with appropriate partners to ensure proper controls and audits are in place to avoid data driven issues.  To ensure efficient replenishment and fulfillment operations, the Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales forecasts and planned flash sale demand to ensure proper slotting of SKUs.      

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

  • Extract and interpret data from various sources and using appropriate applications, provide ad hoc reporting to management as needed.
  • Identify and define operational metrics and KPIs; provide management reports articulating trends, root causes of such trends and improvement opportunities. 
  • Develop methodology and process to effectively slot SKUs in appropriate media to minimize replenishment and maximize order allocation.
  • Continually monitors SKU slot performance to established targets, and re-slot SKUs as needed.
  • Identify key systems data attributes; develop a process to validate accuracy and update as needed.
  • Coordinates and oversees development and continued improvement of system reports and dashboards. 
  • Engages and challenges business sponsors and stakeholders as warranted and appropriate.
  • Support, as needed, business testing of systems solutions.
  • DTC master data and report SME.
  • Travel as required, ~25%.
  • Other job duties as assigned from time to time.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate discipline or proven experience required with 4-5 years experience working in a DTC distribution operation (preferably consumer goods) with a minimum of 3 years as a data analyst. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills required; strong SQL, Python and PowerPoint skills required, Power BI (or like) experience preferred.    
  • Proven experience extracting, analyzing and interpreting data in a DTC distribution environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels; ability to present material in a concise focused manner.
  • Proven ability working effectively as part of a cross functional, global team.
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate conflict between multiple business partners.
  • Must thrive and excel in an ever changing fast paced environment while achieving broadly communicated objectives under minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information is essential.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $63,000 and $78,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
