The Opportunity: 
Mattel’s Integrated Marketing Communications Team is responsible for driving best-in-class strategic and creative thought leadership in the development and execution of best-in-class global marketing campaigns, activations and assets that consistently communicate the distinct and powerful identity of the Mattel IP across all internal and external touchpoints.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our multi-disciplined account team leading integrated marketing communications for the Fisher-Price brand.


What Your Impact Will Be: 

Account Management – 80%

  • Supports IMC Account lead in driving end-to-end strategic and project support across all integrated marketing communications as the catalyst to inspire and unlock breakthrough work.
  • Supports development, implementation and global adherence to Brand Foundation and Brand Identities to drive category and portfolio differentiation and global consistency.
  • Supports Marketing Brief intake process to ensure communication between IMC and Marketing is clear and all required inputs are provided with approved SLAs.
  • Supports Account Lead in development of Communications plans, coordinating with IMC cross functional team and Marketing, that deliver on business and brand goals.
  • Upon approval of Communications Plan, collaborates with Project Management on developing a workflow and resource plan to deliver, which includes consistent communication with Marketing, Production and any relevant centers of excellence required to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Leads development of brand tentpoles that consist of cross-category promotions, collaborations, and activations. This includes leading development of brand guides for global use.
  • Leads IMC status meetings to track project progress in collaboration with Project Management to ensure clear communication on all projects.
  • Participates in Brand 360 meetings to represent IMC Pod, sharing brand and project updates, collaborating and contributing to cross-functional projects and bringing back relevant information to rest of IMC team.
  • Leads reviews and approval of asset creation to Marketing, from presentation of concepts through production, including retail and merch guides, demand creation videos, galleries, live events, graphics/logos, etc.
  • Supports Account lead in aligning with Marketing, Project Management and Production team on annual and season scopes of work and production budgets, including monitoring scope and budget throughout lifecycle of project, reporting any updates to team, as needed.
  • Collaborates daily with brand and product marketing, cross functional teams, and IMC partners to monitor and troubleshoot projects in real time.
  • Proactively monitors and analyzes competitive marketing communications, sharing with cross-functional team through real-time ‘hot takes’ and bi-annual presentations with actionable takeaways.

Creative Strategy – 20%

  • Supports Creative Strategist on development of Creative Strategy/GTB by contributing insights and knowledge across brand, category, consumer, culture and competitive.
  • Partners with Creative Strategist to develop and present creative strategy, ideas and executions to key stakeholders throughout review and approval process.
  • Supports and partners with Creative Strategist to facilitate internal brainstorm and ideation sprints, in collaboration with relevant cross-functional partners, that yield actionable ideas to pursue.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 7+ years in marketing, advertising, operations, or program management leading cross-functional teams
  • Highly analytical and creative mind with ability to distill complex concepts and ideas into succinct solutions
  • Strong understanding of industry, category, and media landscape
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage cooperation and problem solving
  • Possess a growth mindset, positive attitude and a passion to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed organization

The annual base salary range for this position is between $96,800.00 and $147,000.00.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
