The Opportunity: 

Mattel’s Future Lab is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Sr. PdM) to help steer the future of Mattel. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in digital product management, particularly with a focus on mobile apps games, and consumer products, and displays a passion for innovation, technology, and providing an unmatched customer experience. The Sr. PdM will spearhead product development, manage projects, and launch products that will shape the future.

This role is within Future Lab, an advanced-concepts team, that develops innovative products to address new customer opportunities. The role requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, as they will be involved in all steps of the process, from idea generation to product launch. This role will collaborate with researchers, engineers, designers, and other team members to brainstorm new ideas, conduct research on emerging consumer behaviors, design and develop prototypes, and test and refine products.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

• Lead the overall strategy and vision for future digital products, focusing primarily on mobile and web enabled experiences.

• Identify new product opportunities that will open up new lines of business for Mattel.

• Manage product development timelines, collaborate with design, marketing, engineers, and lead new product launches successfully.

• Drive revenue growth and customer engagement by monitoring product performance and optimizing features and functionality.

• Evaluate market trends and competitive landscape, making strategic recommendations for product enhancements or new areas of opportunity.

• Foster a deep understanding of consumer needs and preferences to influence product design and delivery.

• Spearhead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on product goals and the successful adoption of new features and improvements.


What We’re Looking For: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology.

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with at least two years at the senior level.

• Proven success in leading digital product development from inception to launch.

• Experience with launching and optimizing digital products.

• Extensive knowledge of product development processes, customer experience design, and product analytics.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks across teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working and releasing customer-facing software products, preferably in connected-play (toy) products or games (apps, web3, console, etc.)

Preferred Requirements:

• Expertise with consumer electronics and digital or web product development would be highly beneficial.

• A genuine passion for Mattel brands.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing and engaging senior executives.

• Familiarity with digital tools for product management and collaboration.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $190,000 
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
