For our Mattel office in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for a temporary full-time or part-time 

Associate Manager Marketing Infant & Pre-School DACH (f/m/d)

as part of a parental leave cover for approx. 1 year.

The Opportunity:

Mattel is seeking to hire an Associate Marketing Manager Fisher-Price & several pre-school brands in the Germany,  Austria & Switzerland marketing team. You will be responsible for product line selection and amplifying and executing local marketing, advertising and promotional programs on the Infant & Pre-School portfolio. You will ensure effective, creative and efficient implementation of brand strategies and plans by working with various business functions and agencies with the objective to grow sales and market share. Furthermore, you act as key interface on the brand for both internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE:

  • Develop understanding of the market, retail dynamics, consumer and shopper behavior in order to drive opportunities and influence product and marketing strategy development
  • Product line selection and pricing process execution in line with regional and global guidance
  • Design and execute local marketing plans in line with global strategies and priorities
  • Partner with Digital team and media agencies to develop and execute effective and efficient media plans
  • Identify franchise opportunities in partnership with Consumer Products team and execute joint activation programs
  • Creative asset localization and translation validation
  • Set product demand forecast in line with the business target, as part of Sales & Operations Planning
  • Contribute to driving customer engagement through presentations of product lines and brand plans to local Sales teams and key local customers
  • Track and evaluate business results and effectiveness of initiatives and propose actions when necessary
  • Manage local marketing budget

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Preferably 5 years of Commercial/marketing experience within Brand Marketing in Toys, FMCG, licensed consumer goods, Apparel or Health & Beauty industry
  • University degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or any other related field (Bachelor/ Master/ Diploma).
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects with tight deadlines and to multi-task accordingly.
  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great tactical skills, ability to be flexible and react quickly to changing situations.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective, collaborative relationships with a wide number of stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative and analytical mind-set, able to read and interpret data and make proactive recommendations based on given insight.
  • Positive attitude, will-do-can-do.
  • Highly-competitive spirit.
  • Results-orientated, winning mentality, and a strong will to succeed.
  • MS Office and social media knowledge.
  • Very high German & English languange proficiency needed
