For our Mattel office in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for a temporary (1 year)

                                       (Senior) Associate Digital Marketing 

 

The Opportunity:

In this position you will be part of the local Brand Activation team. The position will bring digital expertise to the team to ensure effective, creative and efficient implementation of brand strategies and plans, with a focus specifically on Digital Media Campaigns, by working with Brand Managers, Sales teams and external agencies. Furthermore, the position will entail contact with external customers (retailers) to agree and execute joint digital activation campaigns.

 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Digital media campaigns

  • Execute and optimize digital media campaigns working with agencies (Programmatic, Youtube, SEA, Retail Media etc.) or directly with retailers (conversion campaigns).
  • Advice Brand teams on the budget for online media plans, split by objective (awareness, engagement & conversion), audience (adults vs kids) or channel.
  • Analyze campaigns’ results and share your insights across the market and with the regional team.
  • Ensure best practices and latest learnings are consistently applied to maximize objectives across all Brands.

Develop eRetail

  • Design and deliver best in class activation plans to drive sales using all the key eRetailers’ tools (website, shop-in-shop, app, emails, social media pages, Google PPC/Shopping…).
  • Educate & engage the Brand and Sales Teams as appropriate to deliver on the above.
  • Drive adoption of global/regional eRetail capabilities among local eRetailers.
  • Track results and share best practices locally and at a regional level.

Foster local digital capabilities

  • Deliver digital training to the local organization across all business functions.
  • Drive thought leadership by sharing actionable insights from various sources, including materials deployed by the regional team.
  • Support other digital activation activities and test & learn projects in the local market as needed.

Analytics

  • Online activities & channels analysis (owned channels-sites, YouTube channels-, media campaigns, SEA).
  • Definition & update of the digital benchmarks based Mattel EMEA KPIs framework & previous campaign reports.
  • Definition & implementation of tagging plans based on the KPIs to follow.
  • Recommendation of optimizations based on the reports.
  • Competitive monitoring of tracking technologies & web analysis.

What does it take to succeed?

  • You know how to get things done in a large international matrix organization, based on your previous experience within a similar context, building collaborative teams and communicate with impact across the organization.
  • You need to be able to manage large number of brands, so perfection may not always be easy. In order to accomplish your most important goals, you will need to be able to set your priorities, push the business with your new ideas, think about process improvement and take action when necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration or any other related field (Bachelor/ Master/ Diploma), Online Marketing Diploma or specific mention on Digital
  • Experience in online marketing, digital media, or eCommerce/eRetail – preferably within an FMCG company or online retailer.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly good Excel knowledge.
  • Fluent in written & spoken German and English
  • Good digital expertise (Video, Display, SEA, SEO, UX, CMS, Google Analytics etc.).
  • Ability to effectively manage projects in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
  • Problem solving & analytical ability and a high level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative style
