Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst (depending on experience)
The Opportunity:
In this position you will serve as a finance business partner and support for the DACH commercial team. Cooperate with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast paced environment to ensure we reach our sales, profitability and working capital goals. Continuously look for improvement and simplification, both within and outside of the Finance Team.
What Your Impact Will Be
Primary Responsibilities:
- Management of customer benefits (actuals/forecast/accruals)
- Reporting, analysis and driving actions for improvement of customer profitability
- Analysis and control of customer promotional budgets
- Review and approval of on-invoice promotion discounts
- Support DACH Commercial Team, as well as EMEA Finance Team with ad-hoc analyses
- Partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to drive sales, profit and working capital metrics
- Maintain collaborative relations with regional and local teams
Major on-going complexities that the position faces on a regular basis:
- Fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
- Broad portfolios of products, brands and customers
- Balancing between different objectives (local vs. regional, profitability vs. working capital etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
- Finance or Accounting Degree or equivalent in Finance or Business-related discipline
- Preferably 3-4 years of experience in a finance function
- Exposure to a commercial environment (retail or FMCG) would be advantageous
- Fluency in German is essential, with strong communicative skills in English
- Excellent implementation (efficiency, on time, on budget, on quality)
- Excellent communication skills;
- ability to liaise with people at all levels across the business
- Strong analytical skills
- Results oriented
- ability to apply sound commercial reasoning and logical thinking
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong technical skills (MS Access/Excel/SQL/VBA – manipulate complex/raw data)
- Experience with Oracle, AS400, Salesforce, HPT will be advantageous
- Commercial understanding of a consumer goods company
- Basic accounting knowledge with experience in journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation
- An independent, proactive individual who can manage deadline and take quick decisions
