Montoi, S.A. de C.V. is Mattel's largest manufacturing facility worldwide and the company's primary manufacturing hub in North America. Located in Nuevo León, Mexico, the plant specializes in the production and assembly of iconic brands including Barbie, Fisher-Price, Power Wheels, and MEGA. Montoi plays a strategic role in Mattel's global supply chain by leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and continuous improvement practices to deliver high-quality products to nearly 30 countries worldwide. Located in Monterrey, Mexico, the Supply Planning Manager will lead supply planning activities at the Montoi plant, part of the Mattel manufacturing network. Key responsibilities include leading critical planning decisions related to rough-cut capacity planning, master production scheduling, and material planning to ensure alignment with business objectives. Through close collaboration with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams, Supply Planning drives operational excellence and enables sustainable growth across Mattel's manufacturing network.  This role will report to the VP Supply Management.

What Your Impact Will Be

  • Lead the creation of executable supply plans for building set at the Montoi plant to support customer demand, business growth objectives, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead critical decision making on material planning to align with the overall business plan.  Supervise the internal supply chain to avoid stoppage of the production line due to material shortage.
  • Partner with the Sourcing team to drive new product introductions, balancing cost, capacity, risk, and service considerations.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing production schedules, ensuring production plans are executable, balanced against capacity constraints, and aligned with customer service targets.
  • Regulate all activities related to supply and demand to provide optimum product availability and minimize risk of excess inventory to achieve the desired business results.
  • Monitor and manage key planning metrics including service level, schedule attainment, inventory health, capacity utilization, material availability, and forecast consumption.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and mitigate supply chain risks while optimizing network performance.
  • Identify solutions and alternatives to minimize any product availability disruptions; develop contingency plans. 
  • Execute on strategic initiatives that improve planning processes, analytics capabilities, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Ensure annual volume, capacity, and cost targets are achieved across assigned manufacturing locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Program Management, Finance, Product Development, Operations Planning, or related functions.
  • Experience leading supply planning activities.
  • Demonstrated experience executing supply chain strategies and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.  
  • Experience managing manufacturing capacity planning, production schedules, material planning, forecasting, or network optimization activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consumer products, toy industry, or global manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization, scenario planning, and network design.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes in complex business environments.
