Job Description

Business Analyst – EHS /Coman

Department:

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) / Coman

 Reports To:

Key Sr. IT Manager

Role Purpose

Serve as a strategic liaison between the EHS function and Technology/Coman teams, ensuring that digital and analytical initiatives support regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and process optimization through data-driven and AI-enabled solutions.

 

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to EHS processes.
  • Translate operational and regulatory needs into scalable technology and analytics solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and predictive analytics in areas such as:
    • Incident management
    • Risk monitoring
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Audits and reporting
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops with EHS, IT, Data, and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Define KPIs and performance metrics for digital solutions.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data validation.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to initiative prioritization using a value- and risk-based approach.

 


Technical Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Knowledge of EHS processes (preferred: OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar frameworks).
  • Experience working with:
    • BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
    • EHS management platforms
    • Jira / ServiceNow (preferred)
  • Foundational to intermediate understanding of:
    • Data analytics
    • Process automation understanding
    • AI/ML concepts (use-case understanding, not necessarily development)
  • Strong experience in requirements documentation (BRDs, user stories, process maps).
