We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Specialist - Email Security - to join our IT Security Operations team. This role is primarily responsible for administering and supporting enterprise Email Security platforms to protect the organization against phishing, malware, spam, business email compromise (BEC), and other email-borne threats. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise email security technologies such as Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Microsoft 365 mail flow, and email authentication protocols. Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technologies is considered a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Email Security
• Administer and support enterprise email security platforms such as Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to email security incidents, phishing campaigns, malware outbreaks, and suspicious email activity.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot email authentication technologies including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Collaborate with Microsoft 365 messaging teams to resolve mail delivery, routing, and security-related issues.
• Work closely with DNS and infrastructure teams to manage and troubleshoot DNS TXT records related to email security.
• Review and tune email security policies, anti-phishing controls, anti-malware protections, and mail filtering configurations.
• Analyze email threats and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization’s email security posture.
• Participate in incident response, problem management, and change management activities.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support compliance, audit, and risk management initiatives related to email security controls.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
• 6+ years of experience in Information Security, Network Security Operations, Email Security, or Cybersecurity.
• Proven expertise administering and supporting enterprise Email Security platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 mail flow, mail routing, and messaging security concepts.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
• Experience investigating phishing attacks, business email compromise (BEC), and email-based threats.
• Strong understanding of email authentication, SMTP, mail gateways, and secure messaging technologies.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS TXT records.
• Experience working in mid-to-large enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Ability to write and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience supporting compliance and audit initiatives (e.g., SOX, NIST CSF, PCI DSS).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Imperva WAF or similar Web Application Firewall technologies.
• Experience with Keyfactor, Venafi, or other certificate lifecycle management platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PKI environments and external Certificate Authorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Defender security solutions.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM processes and workflow automation.
Certifications:
• Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration Specialist certification.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate.
• CompTIA Security+.
Shift Timing:
