Solution Architect-Supply Chain-Salesforce

 

The Opportunity:

This position drives system solutioning and design to support modernization of business processes across geographies for Global Product Development in collaboration with the Supply Chain organization and the broader Mattel organization. This individual will be responsible for evaluating systems, processes, and requirements and proposing system and process improvements. This role will lead technical discovery, business analysis, and solutioning with key business and GTO partners to gather detailed understanding of requested changes, develop and strategize solutions that support business needs, and drive implementation with vendors and internal IT partners.

Key Responsibilities

PLM Strategy & Design

 

  • Develop and maintain the PLM solution architecture roadmap in alignment with business goals and industry best practices within CPG/Retail industries.
  • Evaluate, select, and recommend PLM tools and technologies to meet organizational needs for supply chain, quality, and sustainability.
  • Define PLM system standards, integration patterns, and governance models to ensure consistency and scalability.

 

Solution Implementation & Integration

 

  • Lead configuration, customization, and deployment of PLM solutions (e.g., PTC Windchill, FlexPLM, Oracle Agile, Aras Innovator) to support product development workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of PLM systems with enterprise systems such as PIM, CAD, and MES.

 

Stakeholder Partnership & Optimization

 

  • Partner with product development, engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to streamline processes and workflows.
  • Act as subject matter expert for PLM solutions, providing technical guidance and identifying opportunities to optimize functionalities and improve user adoption.
  • Stay updated on emerging PLM technologies and trends, recommending innovations that drive competitive advantage.

 


Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLM solution architecture, implementation, or related roles. 

  • Proven experience with leading PLM platforms such as PTC Windchill, PTC FlexPLM, Oracle Agile, Aras Innovator,CAD Management (PTC Creao, Solidworks and etc) or comparable systems. 

  • Proven experience working in a Consumer Product Goods/Retail Company. 

 

Technical Skills 

 

  • Strong expertise in PLM system design, configuration, and customization. 

  • Hands-on experience with CAD/PLM integration and enterprise system interfaces (e.g., ERP, MES, CRM). 

  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and data exchange standards (e.g., XML, REST, SOAP). 

  • Familiarity with cloud-based PLM solutions and deployment models. 

 

Soft Skills 

 

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. 

  • Project management skills, including experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies. 

  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivering business value.
