  • The Warehouse Trainer directs and facilitates training for employees both temporary, newly hired full-time, new to a department or in need of recertification, and for employees requiring help to improve their performance.  The Trainer may participate in or lead a variety of training exercises.
  • The Trainer communicates with trainees, teaching and explaining Mattel's values, training procedures, product handling techniques, documentation/customer service requirements, and safety guidelines which are all vital in our distribution center. 
  • The Trainer follows up with trainees by tracking their learning progress, making recommendations on how to improve their performance, while examining work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Interacts with the Leads, Supervisors, Human Resources, and Operations Manager to evaluate and critique the DC training programs, in an effort to provide the best training and work experience possible.
  • Advises the trainee’s direct Supervisor concerning individual progress to determine succession planning and employee readiness.  Makes recommendations on strategies to improve performance, readiness for advancement to additional tasks, and readiness and fitness for hire.
  • The Trainer will occasionally conduct formal classroom training, as well as small group training sessions on the floor.
  • Ensures that all Mattel safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
  • As needed the warehouse trainer will conduct the work of a warehouse technician. 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
