The Opportunity: 

The Workforce Intelligence Manager plays a critical role in enabling data-informed talent decisions across the organization—uncovering trends, risks, and opportunities that accelerate workforce transformation. Positioned at the intersection of people strategy, data science, and organizational effectiveness, this role partners across the People & Culture ecosystem to turn complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights.

This role will collaborate closely with People & Culture Business Partners (PCBPs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to shape solutions that drive impact—from skills forecasting and internal mobility to inclusion strategy and organizational design. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical foundation and demonstrated experience applying AI-based methods to workforce planning, predictive modeling, and decision-support.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Workforce Insights & Modeling

  • Analyzes workforce data to identify trends in attrition, performance, internal mobility, and engagement. Supports in application of insights to improve workforce productivity
  • Develops predictive models (e.g. flight risk, promotion readiness, inclusion sentiment scoring), including the use of AI-enabled techniques such as machine learning for trend identification
  • Collaborates with HRIS in the creation of dashboards and visualizations to support strategic talent reviews, inclusion planning, and change management
  • Conducts market and talent research to anticipate talent trends, translating research findings into action
  • Anticipates business needs and delivers forward-looking insights to shape Mattel’s talent strategy, including the integration of AI-powered skills forecasting and workforce analytics

Embedded Support

  • Partner with Talent Management, Learning, Inclusion, and OD to scope analytics needs and deliver practical insights
  • Build and maintain KPI scorecards aligned to enterprise inclusion, skills, and workforce transformation goals
  • Support org design and workforce planning initiatives through data-based modeling and simulations

People Data Enablement

  • Integrate and clean people datasets across People & Culture systems, surveys, and external sources
  • Conduct exploratory analysis and advice on data interpretation for program leads and PCBPs
  • Support quarterly P&C reviews with storytelling from workforce trends

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years in People Analytics, Workforce Strategy, or Organizational Research
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Data Science, I/O Psychology, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Python, R, or similar tools for statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one data visualization platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience using AI and machine learning techniques in workforce modeling, talent forecasting, or predictive analytics
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with People & Culture teams or embedded in cross-functional people programs

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with People & Culture domains such as Learning & Development, Inclusion, or OD
  • Exposure to A/B testing, experiment design, or workforce simulations
  • Comfort working in matrixed or People & Culture operating models

  • Stakeholder satisfaction (COEs, PCBPs)
  • Planning accuracy and scenario impact
