Job Summary
Mattel Technology & Innovation Center (MTIC) Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Associate Manager – Network Services with 8 - 12 years of progressive experience to lead and manage Mattel’s global network infrastructure and play a key role in designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-grade network infrastructure. This senior position is responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance of Mattel’s global network environment, including wired, wireless, load balancing, and WAN services.
The role includes 24x5 weekend on-call support (rotational) and requires a proactive, solution-oriented professional who can mentor junior team members and handle complex network issues.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate Manager of Network Operations is expected to work 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)
The Associate Manager should be able to come into office and assist any major Network implementations, projects, maintenances and work on critical issues at onsite location.
As an Associate Manager of Network Operations the person should have a good hands-on experience in managing both Network data and Voice technology requirements and 5 plus years of managing Technology teams with excellent customer handling skills
Excellent experience in networks with Routers, Switches, SDWAN WiFi, Cabling, SIP, Voice Gateways, Circuit, Carrier management, Arista Cloud, Prisma Cloud, AWS/Azure cloud, F5, Zoom/ MS Teams
Excellent experience in managing partners that spread across multiple geo locations
Excellent experience in managing all the Site network across the globe
Should be able to travel different locations within US and Outside US on need basis
Work with vendors and 3rd party providers – Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, ISP etc
Excellent experience in managing collaboration suite for Mattel global
Conduct training for new product enrollment and create SOP’s
Facilitating workshops and/or forums to promote Change Management initiatives and/or review overall performance and effectiveness of the change process and make recommendations for improvements
Attend daily CAB meetings and assist with review and approval of change requests.
Audit Aging Change Report and Weekly Emergency Change Report and work with appropriate GTO Tower leads to ensure all Change Requests are closed within change windows and/or timely manner
Perform periodic reviews of the circuits, uplinks and switches, routers.
Perform a Quarterly performance review of the devices and work closely with Capacity team to ensure the throughput is addressed proactively
Manage and govern the life cycle of Network Incidents, Network changes and make sure only authorized changes are implemented on production environments
Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual Network SOX audit controls are submitted, reviewed, issues/remediations (if any) are resolved and approved per assigned completion date.
Lead the team on proactive problem management and reactive problem management
Ensure all changes resulting on P1/P2 incident are reported, tracked and RCA documented and reviewed
Conduct reviews with partners and review service levels on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for Network Compute areas
Work closely with partners and participate in governance meetings and build a strong partnership
Lead the design, configuration, deployment, and optimization of Switches, Routers, and core network infrastructure.
Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise WiFi solutions, including wireless controllers, access points, RF optimization, and troubleshooting complex coverage/performance issues.
Manage F5 BIG-IP load balancers – configuration, traffic management, SSL offloading, iRules, and advanced features (LTM, GTM, AFM).
Handle end-to-end Circuit management – provisioning, optimization, troubleshooting, and coordination with global carriers for MPLS, Internet, SD-WAN, and Point-to-Point links.
Oversee structured Cabling projects (Copper & Fiber) and physical network infrastructure upgrades.
Perform Network Data analysis, capacity planning, traffic monitoring, and performance reporting using advanced tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow, Wireshark, etc.).
Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and permanent resolution for complex network issues.
Mentor junior network analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Participate in network architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and digital transformation projects (Cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, Network Automation).
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, runbooks, configurations, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with Mattel security policies, standards, and global best practices, DR testing, code upgrade, Vulnerability assessment and remediation.
Provide 24x5 weekend on-call support on a rotational basis for critical network incidents.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 8 - 12 years of hands-on experience in Network Operations, Implementation/ Lead and Technical Support in a large enterprise or global GCC environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level knowledge of Switches and Routers (Cisco, Arista, or equivalent) – routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, VDC, VPC, STP, HSRP, QoS, and troubleshooting.
Strong experience with WiFi technologies and enterprise wireless management platforms.
Hands-on expertise with F5 BIG-IP (LTM and GTM) administration and troubleshooting.
Solid experience in Network Data monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Proven track record in Circuit provisioning and carrier/vendor management.
Practical experience managing large-scale Cabling infrastructure projects.
Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, CCNA, F5 Certified Technology Specialist / Administrator, CWNP/CWNA, or equivalent SDWAN
Additional Requirements
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, SDN concepts, Network Automation (Python/Ansible – added advantage), and security best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with global teams across time zones.
Willingness to provide 24x5 weekend on-call support on a rotational basis.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, Prisma SDWAN, GCP, Arista Cloud)
