About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our eCommerce development team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing web-based commerce platforms to ensure performance, usability, and reliability across browsers and devices. You’ll leverage SmartBear test tools (e.g., TestComplete, SoapUI, LoadNinja, BitBar) and other automated/manual testing methods to identify issues before they reach our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for eCommerce websites and APIs.
• Use SmartBear tools such as TestComplete, SoapUI, and LoadNinja to perform UI, functional, performance, and API testing.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and DevOps to identify defects, reproduce bugs, and validate fixes.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Ensure that web pages comply with performance, usability, and accessibility standards.
• Maintain and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in eCommerce or web application testing.
• Experience using SmartBear test tools (TestComplete, SoapUI, LoadNinja, BitBar).
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, QAComplete, or Zephyr.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, smoke testing).
• Solid knowledge of cross-browser and responsive testing best practices.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing Shopify, Magento, or other major eCommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VBScript) for test automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA's role within the SDLC.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and tools (e.g., Axe, Wave).
