The Team:
Join a powerhouse marketing team at the helm of some of the world’s most beloved and iconic brands! As the Marketing Manager for the Dolls business, you will take charge of the legendary Barbie brand and other fan-favorite Mattel IPs like Monster High, Polly Pocket, and a stellar roster of licensed properties including top-tier names like Disney, Universal, and Warner Brothers. Our dynamic Commercial Marketing team brings global brand strategies to life, adapting them for the Canadian market. You’ll lead everything from overseeing the Brand P&L, marketing campaigns, customer strategies, and channel segmentation to making crucial decisions on line selection and pricing.

The Opportunity:
Step into the driver’s seat of Mattel’s Dolls portfolio reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. You’ll act as a Business Unit lead, guiding cross-functional teams and steering key meetings across departments. As media consumption evolves and marketing strategies shift, this position offers a unique, fast-paced environment perfect for a marketing visionary who thrives on adaptation and innovation.
We’re seeking a leader passionate about commercialization — someone who excels in managing daily operations and transforming insights into actionable, high-impact strategies. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business and lead external presentations to retail buyers leveraging analytical and communication skills. In this role, you’ll spearhead key campaigns, strengthen licensor partnerships, and collaborations.

This role has 2 direct reports - an Associate Marketing Manager, Portfolio Dolls & Marketing Analyst, Barbie.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Build and drive brand strategy across the portfolio for Canada market
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of two direct reports, fostering professional growth and building a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Lead day-to-day marketing activities, synthesize insights to drive action and analyze performance or brand/products
- Monitor forecasting, tracking, and performance roll-ups to impact marketing strategy
- Drive promotional plan and execution by brand and across customers
- Develop your brands by activating key marketing programs in the Canada market
- Drive marketing execution by leading a cross-functional team inclusive of Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Integrated Media Communications, etc.
- Manage annual budgets for media and non-media activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience (6 with MBA) in consumer or brand marketing
- Advanced understanding of standard marketing techniques and retail business environment
- Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written/verbal, attention to details, time management, project management, and quantitative/analytical skills required
- Ability to take conclusions from data and communicate and present actionable insights to leadership, sales team, external partners and customers
- People management experience preferred
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred
