The Team:

The Building Sets Global brand team is responsible for managing and growing an extensive portfolio of IP and licensed brands in the construction toy category. Our brands, blocks and bricks can be connected together to create a continuous system of play, one that grows with little ones right through to adulthood! We work with our design team in developing new products, we develop global marketing campaigns for our brands, all while factoring in the business management of managing the global P&L and ensuring our products meet our financial objectives. Marketing serves as the link between our other cross functional design and development partners, finance, our commercial teams and many others.


The Opportunity: 

The Manager of Global Brand Marketing for Building Sets will lead in the development, implementation, and management of strategic and tactical toy marketing programs, including but not limited to new product development, pricing, packaging, and creation of marketing materials to support global strategies in the building sets portfolio in order to achieve financial growth and profit targets.

This role will focus on the preschool portfolio, and more specifically the MEGA BLOKS brand.  

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Manage day-to-day line development for brand segments with the cross-functional team to achieve goals and manage to key milestones while meeting margin and line rationalization targets
  • Manage brand(s) to financial targets
  • Utilize key competitive and consumer data as well as key stakeholder input to develop long-term planning outlines for brand
  • Collaborate with key subsidiaries to incorporate global market needs and feedback through consistent two-way communication to ensure effective flow of information
  • Execute global brand-building activities and develop global marketing tools, with internal and external groups
  • Communicate brand and marketing strategies with stakeholders and the cross-functional team
  • Strategy and briefing of product marketing assets (Demand creation assets, deluxe assets for e-commerce, etc.)
  • Develop and manage brand forecasts
  • Build cross-functional relationships; manage and develop marketing talent
  • Ensure consistency across the brand

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field
  • Minimum 6 years experience in consumer or brand/product marketing
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills
  • Prior product development experience required
  • Thorough understanding of research methodologies and when they are used
  • Ability to differentiate and create compelling positioning statements and relevance for our consumers and customers
  • Prior leadership experience in marketing/brand management preferred
  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong skills presenting in front of large groups
  • Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
