The Opportunity:

At Mattel, our partnerships with our retail customers are critical to delivering the brands kids and families love. As Manager, Walmart Forecasting, you'll play a pivotal role in one of our most strategic customer relationships by leading forecasting and planning efforts that drive business performance for Walmart.

Reporting to the Director, Walmart Forecasting, you'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Walmart's Buying and Replenishment teams to develop data-driven forecasts, optimize inventory, and ensure exceptional execution across both in-store and eCommerce channels. Based in Bentonville, AR, you'll have the opportunity to influence key business decisions, solve complex planning challenges, and help shape the future of one of Mattel's largest customer businesses.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Lead forecasting and analytical efforts that improve item-level POS projections, inventory planning, and order recommendations across your assigned Walmart categories.
  • Own category forecast submissions, balancing customer demand with open-to-buy constraints while ensuring forecast accuracy and business alignment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Supply Chain to improve order execution, maximize fill rates, and strengthen operational collaboration between Mattel and Walmart.
  • Drive planning for Walmart.com across multiple brands by optimizing inventory, improving in-stock performance, and developing forward-looking fulfillment strategies.
  • Oversee execution of Mattel's Direct Import business from Asia, partnering closely with Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operational performance.
  • Present demand forecasts and business insights during internal S&OP and consensus planning meetings, helping align cross-functional teams around a shared forecast.
  • Collaborate directly with Walmart Buyers and Replenishment Managers, presenting business trends, forecasting insights, and strategic recommendations that support mutual growth.
  • Transform large, complex data sets into actionable insights that influence planning decisions, improve operational efficiencies, and support long-term business success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or another related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a retailer-facing role, with Walmart experience strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, or a related supply chain discipline; consumer products experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence cross-functional partners, and drive results through collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess business drivers, and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Experience working with large data sets, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and presenting clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with forecasting and planning tools such as JDA, Anaplan, Demantra, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of comfort working with data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
  • Sound business judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of delivering results independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
