Key Responsibilities
• Lead test strategy, planning, and execution for functional and automated testing
across global supply chain projects (ERP, WMS, TMS, planning tools, quality
management).
• Translate business requirements into functional test scenarios and automated
test scripts; ensure traceability to requirements.
• Develop and maintain a robust automation framework (UI, API, data validation,
integration points) aligned with Mattel’s technology landscape.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, UAT scope,
and business process validation.
• Balance hands-on execution (designing and running tests) with leadership
responsibilities (mentoring, coordinating testers, managing offshore/onsite
resources).
• Collaborate with environment and data teams to ensure test readiness: appropriate
environments, data sets, and automation pipelines.
• Manage defect lifecycle: logging, prioritization, root cause analysis, retesting, and
closure.
• Drive continuous integration / continuous testing practices, working closely with
DevOps and release teams.
• Provide reporting on test execution, automation coverage, defects, and readiness
metrics to leadership.
• Promote best practices in test automation: code reusability, modularization,
maintainability, and performance validation.
• Ensure compliance with audit, controls, and regulatory requirements relevant to
manufacturing and toy safety.
Qualifications
Must-haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or related
discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in QA / testing roles with at least 2+ years in test lead
capacity.
• Strong understanding of supply chain business processes (planning, sourcing,
manufacturing, logistics, distribution, quality).
• Hands-on expertise with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Tosca, TestRail,
UFT, Cypress, or similar).
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks (UI, API, regression
packs).
• Strong experience with functional testing: business scenarios, regression,
integration, and UAT.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into DevOps
practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to work with business
users, IT, and vendors in a global, matrixed environment.
Preferred:
• Experience in consumer products, toys, retail, or manufacturing industries.
• Exposure to large ERP environments (SAP or equivalent) and supply chain execution
systems.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
• Prior experience mentoring junior testers or leading small QA teams.
