What your impact will be:

Model floor leadership to ensure environment is friendly, positive, and professional at all times.

Work with direct report team to ensure appropriate sales/cashier floor coverage to maximize service thru staff scheduling.

Supervise scheduling to maximize service and payroll productivity.

Direct daily operations of multiple AGP businesses to ensure that financial goals, customer service standards, and policies/procedures deliver the company objective.

Daily review of departmental revenue to determine if goals are being met and act accordingly

Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout American Girl. Demonstrate, ensure, and train the principles of M.A.G.I.C, and Mattel Play Values..

Collaborate with store management teams to determine short- and long-term business needs to drive revenue.

Proactively build database through Data Capture.

Merchandise and manage sku planning, presentation, and product launches.

Utilize analytical data to drive revenue and inventory position.

Ensure that visual standards are maintained in partnership with Visual Merchandising and Operations Managers.

Communicate and partner with forecasters and corporate partners to review trends, secure key product instock position to meet revenue opportunity.

Shop competition and provide feedback as business dictates. Communicate and brainstorm merchandise strategies with internal store family for execution.

Partner with operations to ensure cycle count accuracy and initiate, when needed, physical daily counts.

Proactively analyze WMS, Sales Detail, and inventory reports.

Communicate goals, service standards, and delegate responsibilities.

Build, train, and motivate staff to perform to company standards.

Provide regular performance feedback. Identify and address performance issues. Write and conduct timely performance evaluations, through our Accelerating Performance goals.

Provide opportunities for professional development.

Ensure that all recruiting efforts and training programs are in place to employ appropriate numbers of staff for peak and non-peak demands.

Lead creative and informative storewide and daily departmental meetings with all staff. 

Ensure associates attend training sessions and actively participate in training.

Ensure compliance of all American Girl policies and procedures.

Support One Retail philosophy through participation in weekly Leadership Communication calls and communicating trends and potential issues with other stores and channels.

Partner with marketing and PR to create and execute in-store programs, events, and launches

Floor presence and coaching staff.

Ensure participation in MAGIC, Play Values, and leadership behaviors.

Interaction with customers.

Support the development of personal shoppers, operations, and sales associates.

Support Guiding Truths and One Team.

 


What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of work experience. 
  • Retail merchandising experience
  • Experience with operational functions
  • Asset Protection training
  • Job experience/progressive in multiple product areas (management, high-end, premium preferred).

The annual base salary range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $90,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
